Summer 2023 is set to be one to remember, and where better to spend it than in and around the stunning lakes of the Cotswold Water Park? As well as a whole wealth of fantastic facilities at Hoburne Cotswold, there’s plenty to keep you busy out and about in the local area!

Bourton-on-the-Water – Dog-friendly!
A picture-perfect village dubbed the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’. Eighteenth century stone bridges cross the River Windrush, which flows through the centre, meandering past ancient stone cottages and vibrant village greens.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the village has a wealth of attractions such as the Bourton model village, Birdland Park and Gardens, Cotswold Perfumery, The Cotswold Motoring Museum and much more.
For those exploring the village on foot, there is a beautiful circular walk through the village to Lower Slaughter. There are also several pubs and cafes along the way for a well-deserved refreshment!
Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park
Get hands on and experience life on the farm at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park! Learn all about the smaller animals such as rabbits, chicks, ducklings and lambs in the discovery barn, take the rare breeds trail and feed the greedy goats, or wander through the wildlife walk and see stunning seasonal flowers, beautiful views, and if you’re lucky, some rare wildlife species!
There’s loads to keep the little ones busy too, enjoy a cuppa as they burn off some energy in the adventure barn where there is a huge indoor sandpit and plenty of ride-on toys, let them loose in the farm-themed adventure play areas, or watch them work on their acrobatic skills on the giant bouncy pillows!
Top tip: life on the farm can be a little messy, make sure you’re not wearing your best clothes, especially if you plan on visiting the muddy kitchen attraction!
Cotswold Country Park & Beach – Dog-friendly!
Visit the UK’s largest inland sandy beach at Cotswold Country Park, the ultimate day out for families in the Cotswolds! Sink your toes into the sand, build sandcastles, swim in the lagoon, grab a bite to eat from the Beach Shack, or even hire a BBQ! However you choose to spend you day, there’s plenty to keep all members of the family entertained.
For the thrill seekers, there’s the AquaVenture inflatable obstacle course, where you can race family and friends. Alternatively, the park has paddleboards, kayaks and boats for hire, for those who prefer to be on the water and remain (mostly) dry!
On land, there’s plenty of opportunity for some healthy competition with mini golf, pedal go-karts and more.
Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens – Dog-friendly!
See exotic animals such as lions, zebras, giraffes and more at the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens; with over 160 acres to explore, you could visit again and again, and still see something new each time!
Make the most of the daily talks and activities such as penguin or lemur feeding, see smaller species such as lizards, snakes and invertebrates in the reptile house, visit the huge collection of birds and stroll through the walled gardens at the Victorian manor house.
On top of all of this, there’s the narrow-gauge railway which you can hop onto for a whistlestop tour of the park, the Skymaze adventure playground, and the children’s farmyard where you can get up close and personal with the animals. With so much to see and do, we recommend getting there for opening time so you can squeeze the whole park into one day!
