Hoburne Doublebois raises thousands for Cancer Research UK

Throughout last year, employees, holiday homeowners and holidaymakers staying at the Cornwall-based park all helped to raise thousands with numerous fundraisers and charity initiatives taking place, including golf days and cake sales.

Hoburne Holidays also supported the charity through a holiday booking donation scheme. The company donated £1 to Cancer Research UK for every holiday booked during 2019.

Cancer Research UK doesn’t receive any funding from the government; with every penny being donated, their progress relies solely on the generosity of the public.

Commenting on the donation, Hoburne Doublebois Park Manager, Liz Griffiths said:

“We would like to thank everyone who has supported us and generously donated throughout the year – colleagues, family, friends and our wonderful holiday homeowners and holidaymakers. It is not easy to raise funds these days and we are thrilled to have raised £5,891. Knowing that this money will really make a difference in the fight against cancer makes it all worthwhile. Together we have made a difference!”
